Congratulations on your engagement, and welcome to the exciting world of wedding planning! So, where do you start with when it comes to planning your ceremony?

I am a down-to-earth & relatable Celebrant & I love getting to know each couple I work with to ensure their ceremony is personalised, non-boring and reflects them and their relationship; their love, their quirks, and all those special little things that make them who they are as a couple!

WEDDINGS

When it comes to wedding ceremonies my job is to ensure that the process of planning is seamless and stress-free.

No two couples are the same, so no two ceremonies will ever be the same. Together we will create a relaxed, enjoyable and loving ceremony, that is “so you”. I will spend time chatting with you about the details of the ceremony you want, and what is most important to you, and I will ask loads of questions so I can learn about you and your relationship, and what makes you unique.

You can be sure that on your wedding day everything in your ceremony is meaningful (let’s keep the fluff to a minimum!), and that you and your guests will have a great time!

My comprehensive wedding ceremony package includes:

A free, no obligation consultation with me to discuss your requirements for your big day. We can chat on the phone, via Skype, or over a coffee or wine!

A minimum of 2 further meetings to catch up, discuss and plan your wedding ceremony in detail and complete the required paperwork.

A copy of my ceremony planning resource magazine containing tips, tricks, resources and guides to make your ceremony personalised and engaging.

Supply, preparation and lodgement of all legal documents to register your marriage

Creation of a ceremony that reflects you and your relationship, and meets your requirements for your wedding day.

A ceremony rehearsal at your wedding venue or alternate location with you and your bridal party.

Solemnisation of your marriage (performance of your legal wedding ceremony).

Use of my high quality, portable, wireless sound system that can accommodate MP3, USB, AUX and Bluetooth for your ceremony music, and wireless, hand-held microphones to ensure everyone can hear your ceremony!

Use of white signing table and chairs, easel and Swarovski Crystal signing pen set.

Travel to and from your ceremony venue and other meetings.

Couple’s Marriage Certificate presented on your wedding day.

Unlimited telephone and email communication up until your ceremony date, and assistance to guide you through the entire planning process.

Assistance in applying for you Official Marriage Certificate following your ceremony.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS YOUR FEE?

My service fees vary depending on the time of year and day of the week (peak season/off-peak, weekdays, weekends, public holidays), the location of your wedding ceremony and requirements of the ceremony.

Please email me at kate@blissfulweddingceremonies.com.au or via the contact form with your ceremony date, time, venue and any other details you would like to share and I can give provide you with a quote and more information.

HOW CAN WE PAY?

A non-refundable Booking Fee of 50% of the total fee is required within 14 days of the booking being confirmed.

The balance of the fee is due one month before the ceremony date. Payment options offered are cash, direct deposit and Paypal (additional surcharge applies to Paypal payments).

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?

I am a Commonwealth-registered Marriage Celebrant and under the Marriage Act 1961 I am authorised to solemnise marriage anywhere in Australia.

CAN YOU HELP US WITH LEGAL DOCUMENTATION?

I will complete and lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage on your behalf and will assist with the completion of any other required documentation (such as Statutory Declarations). I will also assist in your application for a legal Marriage Certificate.

ARE YOUR CEREMONIES PERSONALISED?

Your wedding is all about YOU. This is why all of my ceremonies are planned to suit each individual couple. While I do provide my clients with an example of a ceremony format I have no standard template for my ceremonies and adapt what I do to reflect each couples personalities and their relationship.

I spend time with my clients to learn about them, their story as a couple and their dreams for their wedding day. I also ask each couple to spend time completing a questionnaire that allows me to learn about their time together and ask them to share stories that I can include in their ceremony.

HOW LONG WILL THE CEREMONY GO FOR?

The length of the ceremony will depend on the inclusions you would like, however the average time for a ceremony is around 20 minutes and another 10 minutes to sign the register

WILL WE GET A DRAFT OF THE CEREMONY?

I will provide at least one draft of your ceremony and also meet with you for a read through where you will be able to read the full ceremony as well as hear me present it to ensure that it is what you want before you hear it on your big day.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

I am covered by Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances.

CAN WE HAVE A REHEARSAL?

I will be available for a rehearsal with you and your bridal party in the week leading up to your wedding to ensure that each person understands what they are required to do on the wedding day.

DO YOU COME TO THE WEDDING RECEPTION?

There is no obligation to invite me to your wedding reception after performing your ceremony. Your wedding reception is a chance for you to celebrate with your closest family and friends and while I love to get to know each couple that I work with this is a special time for those nearest and dearest.

CAN WE INCLUDE OUR OWN WORDS, POEMS, READINGS OR MUSIC IN THE CEREMONY?

Absolutely! I encourage all of my couples to give me words, poems, readings and music that mean something to them and I will structure the wedding ceremony to ensure that it flows together. These elements are what make your ceremony personal and memorable.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK & CAN'T PERFORM THE CEREMONY?

If I am ill or unable to perform the ceremony I will find an appropriate alternative celebrant that I feel will suit your wedding. I will also take responsibility for any costs incurred with the transfer.

ARE WE EXPECTED TO GO THROUGH PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELLING?

Pre-marriage counselling is not compulsory and you are not expected to complete it, however I believe that pre-marriage and relationship education can be very beneficial to build healthy communication and healthy relationships.

These services include but are not restricted to counselling. There are group workshops, individual workshops and services provided via the telephone and internet, all offered at a range of prices. These services can give you the chance to think about and discuss things like communication, your expectations for marriage, or managing stress and finances.
